Shortly after mentioning her condition in the Superbowl post and seeing Rob’s kind words in reply, I went over to visit with her. While it wasn’t evident that her death was imminent that day, it turned out that the couple hours I spent at her side were her last, and I find peace knowing I was there for her at that time. I am also grateful that after a bad couple of weeks she did not have to suffer further for weeks and months as some do. Thanks to all for your prayers, kind words, and thoughts. Rob, I am sure that your timely prayers on Friday helped ease her entry to heaven (I know you have a lot of influence with the powers that be!) . You’ll be glad to know I was able to relax a bit and enjoy the excellent Superbowl on Sunday--- my mom was a big fan of the game and would have been watching it with me. PS…Ali can call me anything he wants!

Wasn't it beautiful that you were able to be there when her time finally came? Having seen a few of my family die in my presence, I was asked if I thought it was horrible, or bad. To the contrary, it is a beautiful experience. I'm sure she was greatly comforted in knowing you were there. And you were man enough to make sure that you were there. This may sound funny, but in the ensuing days you will feel a sense of relief, knowing that her suffering will be all gone. Her problems are over. Take care, fella...everything is gonna be just fine.
	I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

I think you covered it beautifully by being there for her at the end, and clearly close to her throughout the time she was here, and it was a blessing that she didn't suffer more than she had to. Take care, buddy, and if there is anything I, or indeed any of us can do, I am sure we are all there for you.
	Saying I'm a product of my generation. You could make a film about that. Ever notice these days how Courtney Love looks worse than Kurt Cobain?

I too consider myself very fortunate to have been there for the end, and she too went quickly without too much suffering. That is such a blessing, for her and for you. My thoughts continue to be with you, and that promised parcel is next on my list to do ... I hope to get it off to you later this week.
