I think every single forum on the planet has this thread somewhere .... even the PHP forums

what are you listening to (song or album) right at this moment.

I am listening to ... The Subways - Kalifornia from Reading 2006

Ever notice these days how Courtney Love looks worse than Kurt Cobain?

Grateful Dead - Hollywood Palladium - 6 August 1971 - spectacularly good!!

But the bad news is I've overstretched my (brother's) computer with all this downloading, and paralysed the desktop and hard drive, so I'm well fed up on that account. :(

Unless he is using OSX server, and has quotas set up, I am conf00sed!

however, I've decided to upgrade my soundcard drivers, and now they don't work, so I am listening to my playstation 2 playing Kasabian - LSF

Well, I am assuming I'm to blame for the foul-up, but it may be something else of course. It's a bit peculiar though. No icons on the desktop, Mac HD and Applications nowhere to be seen, Finder blinks on and off, and yet all the basic internet functions (email, eBay, this forum, etc) are working just fine, unless I try to download something.

At least I have a computer wiz brother who is poised to take on the problem later today!

The ipod is on shuffle here...right this moment is "Flicker" by Kathryn Williams from Little Black Numbers

Ray Lamontagne is excelente
Frances says there's more stars than grains of sand
She should know she's held them in her hand
Hear a soul is calling, no need to ask why
No end and no beginning, an endless sky
An endless day

Now I do like Kathryn Williams, she has such a sweet voice, and love the acoustic bass and all...

Yes, she has such nice voice. Great strings on the whole "Little Black Numbers" album- they mesh perfectly with everything.

I've been waiting for her to come to the States to see her live- don't know if that will ever happen. She is very obscure here. And she's got a little one now too. :)

Well I would say she was pretty obscure here too, I only heard her from an old "Acoustic" compilation album and then wanted to hear some more.

On Ray Lamontagne... I was expecting something a bit more than you get. He is pretty good, but listening to the whole album I just get a bit lost, maybe all a bit same-y.

Dire Straits - the Brothers in Arms album

(nevermind the Razorlight advert on TV, saying it's the best guitar album since Definitely Maybe ... when you can play guitar like Mark Knopfler, you should start advertising!)
